Week 4 Report:

Jaden McGrath        9/28/18

This week in my animation class at BOCES/Sanborn, we dabbled into the physics of animation along with getting objects to actually move. Whether it be a swinging pendulum or a bouncing ball. I was however frustrated by the way the computer would sometimes mess up or be a complete pain in the butt. However, I did love working on both bouncing ball projects. They were actually kind of fun. if we continue working with movement, I would really love to learn how to make a character move.

I honestly don't really know how to feel about SONY's decision to make the upcoming Venom solo film that is set for release next Friday PG-13. I mean on the one hand, giving it a PG-13 rating could help the film be more successful since now kids and teens can see the movie which makes it more money and could potentially lead to a Venom movie trilogy where he'll eventually face Carnage. But on the other hand, stripping the film of it's R rating is also a slap in the face to fans of Venom. If anyone knows Venom, he isn't exactly a PG-13 kind of character. He's violent and also a cannibal, meaning that he eats humans. An R rated Venom could have shown off Venom in his full glory as the scary, gory, and monstrous anti-hero character that he is in the comics. Maybe it wouldn't make as much money, but it would be a true Venom movie for Venom fans. What i think this comes down to is that they are making it PG-13 that way if the film is successful, then they can put it in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). I guess we'll have to see if the film can still work without a R rating when Venom releases in theaters next Friday, October 5th.

  1. These computers can really get annoying at times, you just gotta be paticent with them and it still sucks that venom is pg-13 but since its pg-13 it can be put into the mcu and have a sequel with carnage be rated r.

  2. @mr stark i dont feel real good, I completely agree with both sides of the argument. I can't make an official decision on what side of the argument I'm on until I've seen the film with my own eyes myself.
