Weekly Report #7
Jaden McGrath 12/14/18
This week in my animation class here at BOCES, we have been shifting from classic 2-D hand-drawn animation to now working with CGI 3-D animation. We have also gone from using Harmony to now using MAYA. And so far, it has been a bit frustrating with somethings in my projects going wrong out of nowhere, but at least I feel proud of myself when a project is done. So far I have finished making a temple, a hand, and a helmet. And as I am writing this blog, I am currently at work on my fourth project which is to make the head of a goblin. What I would like to learn next is to learn to lip sync in 3-D animation.

On Friday of last week, we were gifted with the much anticipated trailer for the upcoming film, Avengers 4 which is now been confirmed to be titled, "Avengers: Endgame". And as everyone hoped, it was quite amazing to say the least. New things were revealed to us like Black Panther's little sister Shuri being missing, Ant-Man returning from the Quantum Realm, and our first official look at Hawkeye who now goes by the name Ronin. Not to be confused with the villain of the first Guardians of the Galaxy film who will also be making an appearance in the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, Ronan the Accuser. But there was one part of that trailer that everyone who has watched it will remember the most from it. And that is the opening of Tony Stark/Iron Man deserted in space in the Milano with no food, no water, and almost won't even have any oxygen. I can imagine that many marvel fans teared up at his emotional speech recording that he was leaving for Pepper Potts with such key words like, "Part of the journey is the end." and "When I drift off, I will dream about you. It's always you." In fact, people were so emotionally hurt from it that people have actually contacted NASA and demand them to go save Tony Stark. Now I don't know if people are actually doing this seriously or if it's just for laughs, but I can't help but find it freaking hilarious. But what is even funnier is that NASA actually commented back saying they are trying to do all that they can which is even funnier to me.
