Week Report #11

Jaden McGrath       2/8/19

This week in my animation class here at BOCES, I have begun finishing up my 3-D competition project. I mean there is still a lot to do like I need to add sound, an opening title, and ending credits, and combine everything together. But other than that, I am close to finishing the project. I think my favorite thing about this project is to experiment with the background and give it some details. I do this by continuously adding things you would typically see in a person's room like a dresser, a closet, a bookshelf, a computer, and even more. i was frustrated and had a hard time figuring out how to divide the animation into three clips, but thankfully I was able to figure it out. I still really want to learn how to create a human being from scratch in MAYA. I've wanted to learn how to make 3-D people for a while actually.

Ever since Telltale Game's shutdown announcement all the way back in September of 2018, their final game, "The Walking Dead: The Final Season" has had a bumpy road to drive on. At first, we didn't even know if we would even get the final half of the season or not, then Skybound ended up picking up the game, and then us fans had to wait until after Christmas to see anything from episode 3, "Broken Toys" or when it was coming out. But finally, we were given episode three on January 15th of 2019 and it came out beautifully. But throughout these months of waiting for episode three and the game to return, I only had one question on my mind. Will there be a physical copy of the game? Because the only way I could play these games were to get the season pass disc that is sold out in stores like Gamestop. Telltale did announce a physical copy of the game that was supposed o be released back on November 6th, 2018. I even went as far as to pre-order the game from Gamestop once it was announced. But with the Telltale shutdown, the physical copy was canceled as well so i got my money back. At least it was cancelled until now! Because Skybound announced on Monday that physical copies of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will officially be released in stores on Tuesday, March 26th, 2019. Which is also when episode 4, "Take Us Back" will release which is the final episode of the game and the final episode of the entire series. I don't think I'm gonna pre-order the game again, but when it does release in stores on March 26th, you better believe that I am going to my local Gamestop and picking it up on day one.

  1. I can't wait to see how they are going to end the story in episode 4, even though I think the games started to decline after season 1, then again season one set the bar way too high.
